This documentary feature film tells the remarkable story of Radu, a Romanian-born Canadian, who embarks on an epic and perilous journey to cycle the entire Pan-American Highway. The Pan-American Highway stretches from the northernmost point in Alaska to the southern tip of South America, covering approximately 22,000 kilometers. Radu's extraordinary journey takes an unexpected turn, lasting three years and three months and covering an impressive 34,554 kilometers. Alone on his bicycle, Radu's adventure is not only a physical challenge but also a profound exploration of self-discovery and determination.

Smaranda's story follows her from her first fatal parachute jump in 1930 to her remarkable achievement of breaking the world record for the highest parachute jump by a human in 1932. Her dream of becoming a certified aviator in America adds another layer of inspiration to her narrative. This film promises to celebrate her achievements and her impact on both America and Romania, highlighting her as a true hero.
The Film: Neo-realistic style which includes actual footage from the war in Ukraine shot by Ciornei at the border between Romania and Ukraine, where her family lives, "Grounded" traces the "quest" of Francesca, who leaves her wealthy life in Italy, to go to Ukraine,
firmely and desperately determined to find her lover and the surrogate mother who carries their child.
